So yesterday the Hattiesburg trip was made! We left out around 7 am and drove for several hours (which wasn't exciting at all). When we got to Hattiesburg, we drove around town a bit because I was curious as to what Southern Miss looked like since I've never been on the campus. Well now I know. Then we went to a Wendy's just off the Interstate and there was a bus parked there. Well, apparently the Sugar Bowl was the previous night and Alabama was in it. So, who was in Wendy's? About 20-30 Alabama fans all wearing Alabama gear. I was wearing a MSU fleece pullover and man did I feel uncomfortable.
After we finished eating, we went to the mall and I had a pretty successful day of shopping. I got a really cute dress, some pants, and some tops. I was kinda sad that Forever 21 didn't have one dress I really liked in my size, but oh well. I'm glad that I had fun shopping.
After the mall, we went to Books-a-million for a bit and then headed back to Starkville. When we were headed toward Meridian from Hattiesburg, guess which type of cars passed us every few seconds? Cars from Alabama. For every Mississippi car I saw, I saw about 3 more Alabama vehicles. I had to double check that we were still in Mississippi. XD It was like an Alabama invasion (except they weren't staying).
Well, that was my Saturday. I hope everyone's else's was good as well.

Well, I'm kinda sad because my parents and I were going to take a day trip to Hattiesburg just to get out of Starkville and have family bonding. (And also so I could go shopping at a Forever 21). Well, my Dad has been sick for the past 2 days and he's still not feeling all that well, so the trip got cancelled. Hopefully we can go tomorrow.
Yesterday was fun though! Sara called me and we went out for sushi with a ton of people and had lots of fun. After lunch at Umi's, we went to Sam Goody's and then Game Stop. Then after a little drama at Sara's house with Tina almost going off on Sara's brother; Sara, Tina, and I went to Tina's house and watched Peacemaker Kurogane. That anime is really good so far! (I've seen 12 episodes.) It's got a ton of humor, but also can be serious with a lot of people spouting blood.
Last night was cool because Tommy is back in town and he came over and watched some Peacemaker with us before leaving again.
Sara got a DS (over Christmas) as well as Animal Crossing (yesterday) and she let me play with it a little bit. It seems like a really fun game! I kinda reminded me a little of Gaia in a way, except without all the creepy perverted people.
Well, I'm in Starkville today and bored, but hopefully I can call some people and it will be possible to hang out with peoples. :D

So, tomorrow is New Year's Eve and so I think I'm going to do a little reflection on this past year.
( Click for a wordy review... )
Yesterday I did a ton of cleaning in my room and in areas that I mainly call mine. I'm still not done, but I plan to do more this afternoon and hopefully finish it up. Yesterday I also made supper for my parents! Yay cooking!
On a not so good note, the electricity went out this morning and when it came back on, it killed the VCR. Although my dad talked to the head of the electric department and he said that if we get a new 'replacement' and give him the bill, he'd pay for it, so that was really nice of him.
I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!!

Well, I feel not so good today. I'm pretty sure I'm sick since I stayed in bed until 1 this afternoon. I hope it passes soon though because I've tried to get plenty of rest and I had some chicken noodle soup for supper.
So, that's my journal for today. Yay.

Okay, so yesterday was amazing! I recieved a backpack from my Aunt and Uncle which I'm glad about. I really need one for when I go to Japan. I also got a gift card from Walmart, two gift cards from Barnes and Nobel, a very pretty bracelet, a candleholder with a cross on it, an IOU for an electronic Japanese/English dictionary, and a makeup brush and bag from various friends and family.
After openning presents, I went to the Christ Mass at my church, and after that my family went over to my Aunt and Uncle's house. My cousins and their spouses are staying there until Saturday which is fun! When we arrived at the house, my cousins were found trying to put a puzzle together. (It was still not finished by the time I left last night). We talked until Christmas dinner was finished cooking and then we ate! My Aunt is one of the best cooks I know if not the best. She is amazing, and my Uncle can prepare a turkey like no one else. Needless to say, Christmas Dinner was delicious. It was funny though when it was time for dessert. There was one cake and then 4 pies! They almost didn't all fit on the table.
After dinner, we watched the movie Secondhand Lions. If you haven't seen it, you should. It's a really good family movie. After the movie, we went to the living room and sat down and just talked. But guess what? Something great happened: I've got Spring Break plans!! My cousin Becky and her husband Billy live in Dallas, TX and they invited me to stay with them for Spring Break. It's going to be so much fun! Later on, Billy hooked up his new Wii and a few of us played Wii Sports. It was pretty fun because you've got me, and 3 people who are between the ages of 45-50 playing different games. It was really fun. (Especially when Billy and Becky played Tennis because he kept on beating her and she plays Tennis a lot in real life.)
Yesterday was such a great day. Busy, but great. I hope everyone else had a great Christmas day!

Well, tomorrow is Christmas Eve! I can't believe how fast the time has gone by since finals ended. Yesterday I hung out with Sara, Josh, and Tina at Barnes and Nobel. Then Sara and I went to a store called Mint. OMG! I am now in love with that store. It had some really nice clothes at nice prices. I got a Kathy Van Zeeland purse for $12!! I'm so excited about it. I also got a nice skirt there. I really need to go to that place again soon.
After shopping, a bunch of us watch Ouran High Host Club at Sara's house. I really do like that series. Today was a pretty lazy day until I decided to clean out my closet and sort clothes out that I want to give away. It took me two hours, but my closet is now organized and I have a garbage bag full of clothes that I can't/don't want to wear. I haven't cleaned out my closet since middle school and it shows.
I can't wait to see my cousins tomorrow!! I hope everyone else has a great Christmas!!

Today is what is known as Christmas at work day. Today is the day where co-workers of mine give out gifts. I love it because it's just like Christmas, but earlier! And with cookies and candy. (My co-workers mainly give out candy and baked goods. I bake cookies for all the people who work in Special Collections, but then I buy nicer gifts for my boss and the people I hang out with at work.) I'm so happy because Jana made her amazing sausage balls! They are soooooo good.
I'm finally starting to get excited about Christmas now. (It's about time!) Only 6 more days!
PS: My Dad had his hernia surgery yesterday and is back home. He's fine and the surgery went well. He says he's not in a lot of pain and it only hurts when he coughs or stands up too fast, so that's good.

Where did the time go? At least I've gotten presents for just about everyone already. However, I'm going to be busy tonight buying a few final things, wrapping the presents, and making cookies to go with the presents. So much work to do......................at least the Christmas decorations are already up.
On the bright side of things, the library is closed on Monday next week, so I get off one day earlier!
I messed up on some of my moves this past round of diplomacy. This makes me very sad because I needed some things to be in a better position. Oh well, maybe it'll be okay for next turn.
I really don't like the rain. I makes my shoes wet, which later on make my socks and feet wet. Oh well, it could be worse I suppose. I'm not quite as excited about Christmas this year as I have been in the past. Is this a sign that I'm getting older? :(

Okay, so I haven't posted in over two weeks, but I can explain! I've been very busy with finals and stuff, plus when I'm in a fairly good mood I don't feel the need to journal.
So I guess my finals went well, but I haven't gotten all my grades in. I'm missing 2 right now. Silly teachers need to hurry up and post grades. So, I got a B in financial management, but that doesn't surprise me. That class was horrible and when I came out of that final, I was about ready to kill the teacher if I ever had to see his face again. (Luckily I've calmed down since then.) I'm kinda sad that my GPA is going to drop a little bit more because of the B, but I'm just glad that I didn't get a C in the class.
I'm excited because I've gotten Sara and Josh T. to watch Kyou Kara Maou and they both really like the series! Yay for sharing the awesomeness that is my favorite anime of all time!
I'm also up to date with the Wallflower manga and I've started the Tora Dora manga. Wallflower is really good! I have to say that I really like Tora Dora though. It's such a cute series! I need to read more of the manga though, I'm only through to Chapter 7.
Diplomacy is awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing some of the moves that will be made after tonight's turn. Hmmmm...............
Christmas decorations also got put up this morning! Now I need to finish wrapping presents for relatives. Oh well, maybe I will tonight. We'll see.

I have never in my life disliked someone I use to call a friend this much. This former friend is a lying, stealing, jerk who needs to be run over by a golf cart driven by clowns. I was willing to just let this be put behind me, but then this person keeps doing more and more stuff that makes me dislike them more and more.

Who else thinks it's hilarious that Tavish is trying to make people vote for the anime he wants to see and is failing hard? He's being annoying about it to by trying to say that 'it's licensed' and stuff. I find it really funny. He's such a child at times when he doesn't get his way. Yay democracy!!

Why can't people let the boobies thread on the Anime Club forum die? (Resists the urge to lock the thread and hopes it will just die again.)
Well, I've got some homework to do this weekend, but it shouldn't be too bad. Maybe I'll get to hang out with some people either today or tonight. I also got my credit card bill yesterday which made me sad. It was larger than my paycheck. However, a lot of the charges were for Christmas presents and groceries. I just need to not buy any more groceries for a month or two. Oh well, food is food even if it's icky food that my parents make. (I'm pretty picky and thus I normally buy food I like so I don't have to eat the food my parents make.)
I really want to go clothes shopping! I can't because of low funds though. Maybe if I keep a tight grip on my wallet, I can save enough so that I can go shopping soon.
Well, I don't really have anything else to say right now. Yay work!

I keep on meaning to update my journal, but it does not happen. Well, I'm alive, but I've had a japanese vocabulary quiz, a financial management test, and I have a kanji test today. So, I've been very stressed. It should be better after today I hope. Oh wait, we have an officer meeting tonight for anime club. Those usually don't go as well as I would hope.
I need a vacation with shopping please! I feel bad that most of my journal entries seem so pesimistic. I'll try to sound more optimistic next time.

The Halloween Party was amazing!! The Hare Hare Yukai was performed with much applause! Yay! The costume contest was amazing. (I love seeing all the great costumes..... in space!) Dr. Bob's tombstone outfit was amazing. i feel kinda bad for not realizing who it was at first. (Same with Leeann, but I guess that can be taken as a good thing?)
Jess, I just want to say that you did a really great job with the AMV. It was funny, good, and overall amazing. You did a great job with getting all the stuff together for the party! Props to you!
I also really liked the tarot card reading. According to the cards, my future with my parents is that they are having trouble letting go, but they will over time because they love me. However, I need to keep a closer eye on my finances due to the troubles the economy is having. I will make a lot of friends during my trip to Japan; however, I need to make sure to keep an open mind because otherwise I might be disappointed when I actually go over there. And my final reading said that I would be well off financially, with a passionate marriage to someone completely opposite of me, I will have a boy and a girl, and I will live where ever my work is. So, we'll see if my future really does turn out that way................. *insert Twilight Zone music here*
So, the party was awesome! This morning I woke up with a sore throat. I don't want to get sick! My parents also left this morning for Arkansas where they will spend the weekend visiting with friends. I didn't have any airborne at my house, so I had to go to Walmart at about 9 am all nasty and crap (because I hadn't had a shower yet) in order to get some airborne. I'm hoping that it'll help boost my immune system, and I've also fixed some green tea that I hope will help. (It's cooling right now).
I don't need to be sick! After all, Starkville Christmas Open House is tomorrow!

This week has been kinda busy for me and very stressful. At least it has had nothing to do with classes though.
I've decided to go ahead and apply for the Pi Beta Phi recruitment. It doesn't cost anything to go through it, and I don't think it'll hurt to at least try it and see. If I don't get accepted, then oh well, I have plenty of other stuff to do anyway. If I do get accepted and don't like it, I can just drop it. If I do like it, then that's great.
Why do I feel like the majority of my complaints on here are about anime club? Really, why? I'm glad that Bridgett has wrote a long thing on her lj because I do agree with her. I do feel pretty useless at times with club stuff. It also feels like I get ignored a lot or forgotten. I love the club and I love the members, but man, there is too much drama at times.
1. Andrew is going through issues, I get it, but he needs to stop undermining our decisions. Like with Monty, I understand where he was coming from, but he should have told us beforehand instead of having Jess, Bridgett, and myself look like the bad guys. I also hate all the last minute stuff that has been going on with events. If you are busy, that's fine, just say you are and ask if someone else can get stuff. I'm willing and so is Bridgett.
2. Monty is a crappy treasurer. I want to strangle him at times, but oh well. He'll only be in the position until the next elections. (Because I know he's not getting re-elected.)
3. I wish that Roger hadn't made such a big deal about not being in the Hare Hare Yukai. I also say that since Austin is in charge of it, he has every right to decide who does what positions or if they get to be in the dance at all. (And in all honesty, everyone in the dance group agreed with Austin in his decision. This includes Sara, Tommy, Rose, Josh, and Harry.) Roger was not ready to perform and we are going to tape the dance and put it on youtube.
Anyway, I'm just glad that after meetings a bunch of us can just get together and hang out. It's a great stress reliever. (And Tommy is one of the funniest people I know. The next time we go to a mall, he's going to Spencer's and we are going to play 'Guess what I bought' again.)
I'm really sleepy right now. And my parents are going away for the weekend. I hope to be able to hang out with peoples!! I also hope that things turn out for the best with Lavi. He's on his death bed, and I hope that his passing is a peaceful one. (In case you don't know, Lavi is the cat a bunch of us rescued a month ago.

Well, I'm sorry readers who are friends with all three of us who have posted on this issue, but Greg needs to grow up. He needs to realize that even though you might not like someone, it doesn't mean that you have to be a dick about it. People with bad attitudes never go that far in life because people don't like to be about jerks. Clear and simple. That's all I'm going to say on that matter.
Now, Monty. What can I say about him? He's a nice guy and a good friend, but he needs to take some responsibility! We make an announcement saying that someone left an item behind at Anime Night, and Monty is so dense that he doesn't realize that we are talking about him. I was talking to someone else later and he said that Monty was kinda smiling and laughing when we made the announcement, like he thought it was someone else. Also, he asked Morgan, Roger, Austin, and several other people about the cord, but he never asked Bridgett and myself about it. Wouldn't you logically ask the people who are normally the last people in the room before we leave? After all, the two of us usually do a quick sweep of the room to make sure nothing got left behind.
So, Monty knows that I have his cord now. We'll see if he decides to work with me to get it or not.
Last night, I learned a skill of Sara's that I didn't know, palm reading! It was pretty cool. Apparently, I'm going to be well off, but not super rich, I'm going to have a normal length life, I'll have a very happy marriage, I have two strong personalities, and I'll have 3 boys and one girl. I only plan on giving birth at one time. Maybe I'll give birth to a girl and adopt 3 boys?
I like the whole fortune telling type stuff. It's pretty fun!

Yesterday was fine. I finished up just about all of my homework and the stuff I didn't finish up isn't due until later this week. Hare Hare Yukai practice went well. I got the part of Nagato, so yay!
This morning I went to park in the parking lot behind the health center, and some lady had her car door wide open blocking a parking spot. Not only was she not in her car, she was standing next to another car a few spots down talking to someone else who also had their door wide open blocking another spot. Why are people so disrespectful of others? I hope the lady chokes on a peanut, but doesn't die or anything.
I didn't want to get up this morning because I was warm and it was dark outside. I'm kinda ready for daylight savings so that I can start waking up with the sun instead of waking up before the sun is up.
At least I don't have any tests this week! Yay!
